Accessibility Physical / Mobility The visitor center, including the theater, and associated outdoor exhibit area are fully wheelchair accessible. The Ponderosa Loop Trail, a self-guided 1/2 mile trail, is also fully accessible, although the trail may be covered by snow in the winter. The Monument has a non-motorized wheelchair with large, inflatable tires that can be requested and borrowed for daily use. Deaf / Hearing Loss The Monuments 15 minute orientation film, which is shown in the visitors center's theater, has subtitles. Blind / Low Vision The park film, "Shadows of the Past" and the visitor center exhibits are accessible through Audio Description. Please ask at the front desk for the audio description headsets and instructions. * Entrance fees are free with America the Beautiful Pass. Pass may be obtained in person at a federal recreation site or through the mail using the application form. The cost of obtaining an Access Pass through the mail is ten dollars ($10) for processing the application (the Pass is free). Applicants must provide documentation of permanent disability and residency or citizenship.
