הסיפור שלי: חיה עם עקמת
היי! אני נובה, בת 18 ומתגוררת בהולנד. יש לי דיספלזיה ופריקה בירך ימין. בגיל 12 אובחנתי גם עם עקמת. מאז שהייתי תינוקת עד עכשיו היו לי כמה ניתוחים, אבל לצערי אף אחד מהם לא הצליח. אני עדיין יכולה ללכת מרחקים קצרים עם קביים, אבל למרחקים ארוכים יותר משתמשת בכיסא גלגלים. יש לי כאב קבוע בירך ובמיוחד בגב. התשוקה הגדולה ביותר שלי היא ריקוד ותמיד חלמתי להיות רקדנית מקצועית.
My Story: Living with Scoliosis
Hi! I am Nova, I am 18 years old and living in the Netherlands. I have a dysplasia and luxation in my right hip. At 12 years old, I was also diagnosed with Scoliosis. Since I was a baby until now I've had several surgeries, but unfortunately none of them were successful. I can still walk small distances with crutches, but for longer distances I use a wheelchair. I always have pain in my hip and especially in my back. My biggest passion is dancing, and I've always dreamed of becoming a professional dancer.
גילוי הריקוד בכיסא גלגלים
השתתפתי בחוגי ריקוד בילדות. התחלתי עם בלט ואחריו היפ-הופ וריקוד רחוב. למרבה הצער, הייתי צריכה להפסיק כשהייתי בת 11. זה עשה אותי עצובה והרגשתי כי חלומי נגוז.
בקיץ שעבר התחלתי לרקוד בכיסא גלגלים. אני מתאמנת הרבה וזה מרגיש כל כך טוב לרקוד בלי כאב. אני שמחה לרקוד שוב. אשמח לעקוב אחר שיעורי ריקוד בכיסאות גלגלים בהולנד ולפגוש צעירים אחרים בכיסאות גלגלים שיש להם תשוקה לריקוד כי אתם אף פעם לא צריכים לוותר על החלומות שלכם!
Discovering Wheelchair Dancing
I followed dancing lessons when I was a kid. I started with ballet followed by hiphop and streetdance. Unfortunately, I had to stop when I was 11 years old. That made me sad, and it felt like my dream was over.
Last summer I started wheelchair dancing. I practice a lot and it feels so good to dance without pain. I am happy to dance again. I would love to follow wheelchair dance lessons in the Netherlands and meet other young people in wheelchairs that have a passion for dancing because you should never give up on your dream!
