Why I Have No Regrets: Tetraplegic Story

Spinal Cord Injury (SCI)

Sophia Malthus

Regrets will only hold me back from moving on with my new life

Hi, my name is Sophia and I am 20 from New Zealand. In 2016 I fell off a racehorse at work and broke my neck, leaving me tetraplegic. I still love going to the races to watch the horses and see all of my friends. I think the horses remember me but they know something is different now, and their eyes show empathy. I don’t regret my accident because I loved my job and I still love horse racing! Regret will only hold me back from moving on with my new life.
