An extraordinary independent visionary
As unreal as it sounds I am a working miracle. My mother gave birth to me in 1995 in Eastern Cape, South Africa. I was born with a congenital disability called phocomelia lower limbs, which is a condition that affects your limbs & causes limb mutation. I use a walking prosthetic to walk because my left leg is shorter than my right leg. My left arm is missing & my right leg’s knee is located near my hip. But all that never limited me to reach for the stars. I went to school like any kid, graduated from university & worked in the Television industry. But it wasn’t a joy ride, I come from a less fortunate background & I was diagnosed with major depressive disorder & anxiety in high school. I’ve written so many suicide notes, attended therapy throughout my life, I got bullied for my physical looks but I never gave up.
Light in the middle of the tunnel
For not backing down is a necessity, I owe that to myself regardless of my condition & life circumstances. The biggest highlight for me was last year when I won an award for Film & television excellence. I have written scripts for Tv shows, produced fashion films & directed virtual reality films. I am currently working towards my poem book called “a hundred pieces of sentiments”, I am also an aspiring social media influencer in a process of working with brands & getting signed under an agency as a model with an aim to break barriers within the fashion industry, and lastly continue to produce documentaries under my production company “independent visionary productions”, The secret is working towards your vision regardless of what you have.
