Amara Riccio

Moving life; my story

Hi, my name is Amara Elise Riccio and I love to DANCE. Ironically, I was hit by a car in 2008, flipping my life around surviving and thriving from a severe Traumatic Brain Injury. I was achieving my goals, graduated school functioning semi-independently, then the coordination of steps took an unexpected turn 9 1/2 years later at 22 years old.

I had to put my motto D.A.N.C.E(Discover Accomplish, Nourish, Create and Embrace) as a slow tumble has taken and continues to take my entire bodily movement control away- unknown progressive ataxic encephalopathy with many related symptoms. Now my voice is through writing with my new debut book "This Is Why I DANCE" available June 22nd amazon ebook.
