Hi! My name is Rosana Ferraioli, I am 27 years old and I have undergone 9 operations after the diagnosis of a benign aneurysmal tumor in my thoracic spine. I cannot deny how valuable I feel for all the opportunities that I have gotten on my way, I am a Computer Engineer and I work in a National Company, and I have aunts who take care of me like I am one of their daughters.
However, my recovery has been a rollercoaster, my diagnosis was very unexpected and risky. After the first intervention, I never thought that the path was only just beginning to demonstrate my courage and perseverance, not only in physical recovery but from my spirit to stay on my feet and always ready to continue improving myself.
At this time I require a tenth surgical intervention. I have 11 months of absolute rest (in bed without being able to move) to be able to place correction material to my severe kyphosis, which is oppressing my nerve roots and generate spasms that I can not control. It has been one of the most difficult stages because the previous times my rest was always short and preceded by an improvement that managed to integrate me into my work and personal care.
At the moment I do not have the income to pay for surgery, here in Venezuela the amounts are unattainable. With this operation, I will leave the state of absolute rest, in a wheelchair, and then once again be on a walker. The plan is to gradually release the technical aids and be totally independent.

I am determined to fight this all way!
