Have a wheelie fab time!
‘’On the 8th July 2019, our lives changed forever when David broke his neck, leaving him with a C4 Spinal Cord Injury (paralyzed from the chest down). We went from 7 years of leading our ‘normal’ life that in honesty we did take for granted to now living our ‘new normal’ which has taken some getting used to. David is now a full-time wheelchair user and we count our blessings every day his still here. Although adapting has been difficult, we have learned to not take a second in life for granted and live life to the full, which you can still do despite a life-changing injury. We recently set up an Instagram page called ‘wheeliefabtimes’ to share our experiences to help and inspire others. Unfortunately, we have found that accessibility in many places can be extremely difficult so it’s great to be able to share ideas of what we have been able to do. We are no experts and take every day as it comes, but we hope by sharing our adventures we can help/inspire people in different ways. It’s important for people to know that although life is different and far from easy, amazing memories can still be made! And there was a time we wouldn’t have thought this would have been possible…’’
