Life on wheels
Hello, my name is Nick and I’m 25 years old & from California. I was injured at 17 in a diving accident at my hometown lake. The accident broke my C6/7 vertebrae and left me a quadriplegic. Since getting injured, I have returned to school and nearly completed my associate's degree. It took me a few years to gain back confidence in myself, however, I am more motivated than ever. I became a certified peer mentor with the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation and also became a #highfivesathlete.
Throughout this crazy journey, I have found my purpose in life to be an advocate for those dealing with similar adversity. I am a psychology student and plan on attending med school to become a full-time psychiatrist. Life is only as good as we make it, so why not help each other create a life worth celebrating.
