Having Cp isn't the end of the world...
My name is Thea and I have cerebral palsy. I was diagnosed with it when I was younger and have learned to live with it. When I tell people I have cerebral palsy they automatically assume that I am constantly in a wheelchair and that my disability affects my intelligence, which is not the case. Having cerebral palsy has made life harder to achieve things but I haven't let it stop me from achieving. I was able to get my GCSEs and even a degree, just like any other person. CP may have limited something I can but it has also given me opportunities, due to my disability I was able to compete at national in disability sports. The events I used to compete in were shot put, discus, and even javelin. I even received gold at the national level as well. It opened the doors to a vibrant and loving community. So just because you see someone in a wheelchair or someone who has a disability don't assume that it affects their intelligence and don't say "oh I'm sorry" when we explain we have a disability because having CP isn't the end of the world.
