Amedee's Story Amedee was born full-term at 40 weeks 2 days, when Amedee was born had respiratory Distress and needed oxygen with a CPAP. on day 2 of life, Amedee had multiple seizures. On day 6 of Life Amedee had an MRI conducted which showed restricted diffusion in the corpus Callosum more marked in the splenium and both parietal occipital lobes. This indicated HIE (Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy) Amedee was referred for further testing for Cerebral Palsy. Since August of 2020, Amedee has been linked in with the Cerebral Palsy Alliance. On the 28th of January Amedee was formally diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and microcephaly. We have no limits on this girl and every day we count our blessings. The Cerebral Palsy Alliance has been the backbone of Amedee's progress and we are very thankful to have received the early intervention that we have.
