Random acts of kindness

I know some of you are reading the title of this paragraph and thinking "I've heard this all before yeah yeah yeah" or something along those lines. Well, it could go two of ways. You could be right or I might just blow your mind with something you might not think about so often. Anyways, lets get started. What do you think about when you hear "random acts of kindness?" Helping out someone in need? Paying for someone else's meal or drink just because? Writing down random positive notes for strangers to find? Smiling at strangers? Texting or sending out letters to your friends to make sure they are okay? Giving your friends or family gifts just because you are thinking of them? Reminding your friends that you are always there for them when they need someone the most?

I could go on and on forever, the list is endless. Most people like to think it costs a bunch of money to be kind and make someone's day but that's so not the case. I have a challenge for all of you. It's actually quite simple and everyone can do it. Whenever you are out and about give at least ONE compliment to someone. I will admit, at times I don't do it as much as I should but believe me it will make you feel so much better. Not only that, you could possibly make someones day a lot brighter. I remember giving  simple little compliements to people and them telling me it's the only one they ever got. ONLY ONE. I can't be the only one who thinks that is sad right? Next time you are out and see someone with a cute outfit or nice hair, tell them. I think a lot of us overlook this small little task when this could possibly make the world a better place and spread even more positivity. Just think about it.

Self love/Love yourself

I'm so excited to share this with you all. Does anyone know of the singer JOJO? Its okay if you don't but she's the one who inspired me to do this and spread it around worldwide (I hope). Last week, she posted a video on instagram saying that she was teaming up with Shine to send you encouraging texts all week to spread self love and to feel better about yourself. If you haven't yet, listen to her song "I am" before you read the rest of this (I posted the link to the video but if it somehow needs to be taken down for copyright issues just look it up lol). One of the things Jojo wanted us to do during that week was to write down I am _____ and fill in the blank.

You could fill it in with I am funny, I am a good friend, I am loyal. Whatever word or words that describe YOU the best. Now I want to make this bigger and challege EVERYONE reading this whether you are my fb friends, someone from twitter, or someone completely random to do the same thing. It could be as simple as getting your phone out and typing it in your notes or you could do what I did and write it on a piece of paper, whatever makes you feel more comfortable. I already posted mine and I would LOVE to see yours as well! When you are done tag or send me your photos so I can see them as well. Everyone should feel good about themselves and I hope this gives you a extra boost of confidence. I know it did for me.
