Beyond the Boundary

Hi there. My name is Jenny (@myservicedogjourney), and I'm 17 years old. I was born 3 months early on July 26th, 1999. I weighed 1lb 7oz, but there were some complications during my birth. I had a brain hemorrhage that left me paralyzed on my left side, and we found out I had Cerebral Palsy. The doctors said that I would not be able to talk, walk, sing; they said I would be bedridden. We fought. I was put into PT and OT and a program in our state that helped us.

Now, almost 18 years later, I still have some problems. My muscles are really weak, I can't open some doors on my own, sometimes I have problems with my hand grip, but that's okay. At 17 years old, I can see (with glasses). I can walk and talk to my friends. I can sing. I've been diagnosed with several other things since then, such as Autism, but it's going to be okay. I have a service dog in training; her name is Hope. She has helped me so much even at the age she is at now. I beat the odds, and so can you. Don't lose hope. It's a long battle, but I know you can do it. I'm here for you, for the kids that are struggling like I was, for the parents of them, for all of you, I am here for you. If you ever, ever, need any help, send me a message. I'm here for you.
