Beyond the Flames, Past the Past.

Questioning Everything

I woke up having a strange feeling in my gut that something was gonna happen sooner or later in the day. I had an 8 am class so I got dressed as usual, but I stayed in my room for a minute and just looked around at everything. Little did I know that would be the last time I would step foot in my bedroom. While in school I just focused on class. However, I got an unexpected phone call from my mom saying the house was on fire. Thankfully everyone was safe. The second I looked at my house, tears just continued endlessly. At that moment, I felt my world burning to crisp as well. For a while I questioned everything that occurred. Why this? Why me? Why now? I allowed negativity and depression to take over, especially when I learned that I had to take time off from studies. Education is very important to me.

Making a choice

For months I would just cry and think back to the past before the fire happened. I realized my actions were unhealthy and selfish. I should be thankful that I'm alive and fortunate to have a roof over my head. Because I have so much time on my hands, I thought I would put to use that time wisely instead of sitting around in a pool of self pity and not doing anything productive.

Therefore, I decided to start a YouTuber channel. My channel is about positivity and motivation, inspiring people to do what they love no matter what obstacles they face. I was born with Cerebral Palsy. I want to inspire everyone, especially people who have a disability to believe that there are no boundaries in life if your heart believes. I'm thankful that I'm able to inspire anyone even if it's only one person. The past can never be changed, but you can choose how you want to live in the present. This is the path I chose.
