My Story: Life with a SCI

Hello, my name is Nelson Rivas. I am 36 years old and I am from Caracas, Venezuela. I graduated from the Central University of Venezuela. At 23 years of age, I sustained a spinal cord injury at level C5 after falling in a pool. I fight for my dreams thanks to my family and friends who continue to help me each day. With a positive attitude, the hardships are now over- I will not let this injury stop me. I work, I play adapted tennis, and I fight for the right of inclusion in my country!
