Chronic Pain
As long as I can remember I have had chronic abdominal pain. I have had almost too many diagnoses, the latest is fibromyalgia. I have had numerous surgeries and tests. For a time it seemed like a new test and new doctor nearly every week! Of course with a condition like chronic pain it has a way of affecting every aspect of your life, the hardest symptoms, other than the pain would be the mental health aspects.
What now?
After being diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety, I made the best decision I could have ever made! I went to a psychologist, and I got hypnotherapy! It's actually helping! I am able to have a casual job and attempt to study without constant pain. It took me 23 years, but I am getting there and I won't let myself give in on not living a full ,happy life. I don't believe that there is such thing as "normal." We are all just striving to be our best selves!
