Inclusive Exercise for all Abilities!
Hi there! We are Every Body Athletics, a small group exercise program for adults with developmental disabilities located in Tigard, Oregon. Here at EBA, we believe that everybody is an athlete, regardless of physical or cognitive capabilities. We also believe in the importance of working out every part of the body- physical, social, and emotional. When you step into our gym, you'll see athletes of all shapes, sizes, and abilities, but we all have one thing in common: we like to work hard and have fun!
We know how tough it can be to find daily services after graduating from high school. We've heard the statistics about people with developmental disabilities tending to lead sedentary lifestyles, and the physical and social regression that can result. That's why we work hard on both our physical AND social strengthening at Every Body Athletics, combining specialized and adaptive exercises with plenty of social activities as well. It also helps having our Teammates without disabilities working out alongside our Athletes with disabilities, completing every exercise together and promoting social inclusion along the way. From our partner warmups to our 1:1 stationwork to our large group activities (can you say ZUMBA??), everyone at EBA is dedicated to supporting one another and bettering the physical, social, and emotional wellbeing of each and every participant.
... And at the end of the day, if one of our exercise stations turns into a big dance off instead, well that's okay too!
