Flying Through Life with A Spinal Cord Injury

Spinal Cord Injury (SCI)

Axelle Pons

I am Axel

My name is Axelle.  I am 33 years old and a mother to beautiful Abigail who is three months old. I got married one year ago, and it was an amazing ceremony.

I was hit by a car four years ago, which caused a spinal cord injury leaving me a quadriplegic.  My injury has taught me that even the most disabled people shouldn't have boundries and should do everything he or she wants.

I have recently been flying and doing tricks in an old World War plane for the very first time, which was an incredible experience. There are no words to describe what that felt like. I now realize that I really can do anything.
